Gayston Secures Large Mortar Fin Defense Contract

November 7, 2008 ---- Gayston Corporation has recieved a multi-year contract to manufacture aluminum mortar fin assemblies used in 81MM practice, illuminating and smoke mortar rounds. Manufacture of the fin assemblies involves processes which include impact extrusion; heat treating; precision turning, milling and drilling; anodize surface finishing; and component assembly. All of the manufacturing activity will be performed at Gayston’s Springboro, Ohio location. Production is scheduled to begin in April of 2009.
