Gayston has manufactured baseball bats for large international brands as well as private label customers since the mid 1990's and is the only company currently making baseball bats using the aluminum extrusion process. This gives Gayston the competitive advantage of starting with aluminum barstock, thus reducing material cost and allowing the use of exotic aluminum alloys not readily available in tube stock. The process culminates with over 500 tons of pressure in an impact that is a spectacle to watch. In fact Gayston's process was shown on the Discovery Channel program "How It's Made" Season 10 episode 2.
Along with Aluminum Baseball bats, Gayston also manufactures bats made of hybrid aluminum/composite and pure composite materials. These bats are made of very high strength Carbon and Fiberglass and are becoming increasingly popular in the world of Baseball.
