Aluminum spinning is the forming of metal by rotating the work piece at high speeds and using a wheel to apply pressure thus changing shape. Usually heat is applied to both the part and the spinning wheel to allow the metal to flow better. Spinning can be done either over mandrels which are then removed, or over nothing at all.
